Here is a list of four convenient and entertaining apps that will not only make you want to hit the gym but also de-stress more often!

Nike Training Club, also known as NTC, is an ISM favorite as it is used by students, teachers, and coaches throughout the school. The NTC app consists of over 100 different workouts led by fitness experts, as well as the option to manually create your very own workout plan. You can also easily download NTC from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) onto your phone for free!

Sweat, by Kayla Itsines, an Australian personal trainer, contains workout and meal-planning guides and can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices. The workouts are briefly explained through short demos, making them much more doable. Furthermore, these quick yet effective exercises can be done even when students do not have a lot of time. Although the free trial lasts only 7 days, its convenience makes it a must-have.

  • Calm: Meditation to Relax, Sleep, Relieve Anxiety and Lower Stress

 

The Calm app leans more towards meditation and relaxation as it focuses on reducing stress levels. The aesthetically-pleasing app either plays peaceful sounds of nature or white noise as a method of calming down. Although the app offers different types of membership plans, the free version consists of more than enough relaxing sounds to help calm you down and sleep better. The Calm app may seem ordinary at first, however here’s the catch – you can also enjoy these features on your computer! So, download the app on your phones or save the website on your computer and take a short mental break from all the work that you have to complete!
