Avengers: Infinity War. The culmination of all of the work that has been done to develop the complex world that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe throughout the past decade. The crossover event to end all crossovers–characters from 18 different movies all coming together in a massive, widely anticipated blockbuster scheduled to hit the cinemas on April 25, 2018.

The story picks up after Captain America: Civil War and follows the Avengers, who have broken up and are spread out across the entire universe. However, with a new threat, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy must unite to stop the supervillain, Thanos from accomplishing his goal and becoming unstoppable.

One of the major appeals of Avengers: Infinity War is the massive number of characters which will take part. With over 20 heroes, everyone undoubtedly has their own favorites. Robotics teacher Mr. Dingrando’s hero of choice is Iron Man. “I like Iron Man because he begins as a genius who builds robots and other tech, which I admire.” He continued by saying, “I like that it’s clear what his powers and limitations are, compared to someone like the Hulk, where it seems like sometimes, he can accomplish anything.”

Sophomore Lorenzo Y.’s favorite hero is Black Panther. When asked why, he explains, “I love how he exudes this regal aura — you know he’s a king. In addition, he is brave, strong, and has an awesome salute!” Lorenzo is looking forward to seeing more of Black Panther in the upcoming Avengers film.

Looking back upon the 18 previous Marvel movies, there are probably a lot of different opinions on which one is the best. Sophomore Alexa K. loved Captain America Civil War since it was almost like a mini-Avengers movie. “I was so excited about it because we were able to see so many different faces all in one movie, yet they managed to keep it from becoming saturated and created a fantastic film.” She continued by saying, “That’s why I’m so excited for Infinity War, because the cast just keeps getting bigger and bigger.”

Avengers: Infinity War will be a movie to remember, and if you haven’t seen it yet, beware the spoilers!
